What your AI can do

The three access levels, the previews before big changes, and the undo, pause and activity log.

You choose what each connected app may do on Saddle, AI apps. New apps start at Read only.

Access levels

  • Read only: the app reads your content and settings.
  • Edit content: it also writes and edits posts, pages, media and menus.
  • Manage the site: it also changes settings, turns plugins and themes on or off, and applies updates through WordPress's own updater.

You approve the big changes

Before anything is deleted or overwritten, a plugin or theme is installed, a plugin is turned on or off, or the theme changes, you see a preview. It runs only after you confirm.

New posts are saved as drafts until you publish them. Deleted posts go to the trash.

Stay in control

  • Activity log: see every change and every blocked request.
  • Undo: ask your AI to undo a logged change, or click Undo on it in Home's Activity feed.
  • Pause: block all AI requests with one switch.
  • Tool switches: turn off any single tool.

What it never does

Saddle never runs code from the AI and has no shell access. Your AI app cannot write or edit files on your server.

The site URL, security keys, user roles and admin email cannot be changed.
