This site, the Saddle plugins and Saddle Cloud are run by PlugPress. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
This website
This site sets no cookies and makes no third-party requests. Fonts and icons are served from this site.
When you click to buy, Polar's checkout opens in a frame on the page. Nothing from Polar loads before that click.
We count visits with Saddle Analytics, in our own database. It is cookieless and never stores IP addresses.
A hosting provider runs this site, and Cloudflare sits in front of it. Both see your IP address to serve each page.
Saddle Cloud
When you buy a plan (Go, Pro or Reach), Polar takes the payment and Saddle Cloud makes your account from the email you paid with. Cloud keeps the sites you connect to it.
For each site you connect, Cloud keeps its address, its name and the key the site gave Cloud, encrypted. It checks each site every 5 minutes and keeps 30 days of those checks, plus a daily list of the site's plugins, themes and waiting updates.
When your AI app works through Cloud, Cloud records who asked, on which site, which tool, the result and a one-line summary, and keeps this activity log for 90 days.
It never records page content or what the site sent back.
SEO research that you or your AI app run is saved for 180 days, so it can be opened again. The keywords you track and the competitors you watch stay until you remove them, and weekly rankings are kept for 26 weeks.
To answer research, Cloud sends the keywords and website addresses you ask about to its search data provider.
Cloud runs on Cloudflare, keeps its data with a database provider and sends email through an email provider.
If your plan ends, your account and sites stay, paused, until you renew or ask us to delete them. Write to us and we delete your account and everything above.
Google sign-in and Search Console
You can log in to Saddle Cloud with Google. Google then gives Cloud your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID, used only to log you in to the account your payment made.
If you choose Connect Search Console, Google gives Cloud read-only access to your Search Console data, and Cloud never changes anything there. Cloud reads your sites' clicks, searches and pages from Google when you or your AI app ask for them, shows them to you, and does not store them.
Cloud keeps the access Google gives it encrypted and uses it only for these features. We do not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or let people read it, except to keep the service secure or when the law requires it.
You can remove Cloud's access at any time in your Google Account, under Security, Third-party apps and services.
Saddle Cloud's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Buying a plan
Polar sells the Go, Pro and Reach plans to you as the reseller. Polar collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy.
We receive your name, email and order details from Polar.
Support email
If you write to us, we keep the email and our reply for up to two years after the conversation ends.
The free Saddle plugin
The free plugin sends us nothing. It sends no tracking or usage data.
It connects to another site only when you ask it to: for example to fetch a file from a web address you give it, or to search Unsplash with your own API key. Its readme lists every case.
Saddle Pro update check
Saddle Pro asks updates.saddle.to for updates. The request carries your license key, your site address and the version of Saddle Pro.
The update server stores a SHA-256 hash of the key, never the key itself. It also stores your site address, the license status, the expiry date and the time of the last check.
The server checks your key with Polar and caches a good check for six hours. It runs on Cloudflare.
We keep these records while your license is active, and for 12 months after it ends.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you.
We answer within 30 days. The privacy law where you live may give you more rights, such as the GDPR in the EU and the UK, and we honour them.
Changes to this policy
We change this page when our practice changes. The date at the top shows the last change.
